People going on stag and hen parties are increasingly looking for more exciting destinations than can be found in the UK, one expert has pointed out.
According to the Halifax, 8.6 million Brits took a single sex holiday during 2007, with 25 per cent of these attributed to stag and hen trips.
Ben Rodger of Release Travel said that while UK destinations such as Blackpool will undoubtedly remain popular, people are now aspiring to visit more memorable destinations.
"They do not want to go to the same UK destinations over and over again, thus they are always looking for something a little different to better the last celebration," he commented.
Anyone looking for a stag or hen party destination could consider booking cheap holidays in Cyprus - one of the island's tavernas may be ideal for eating meze, drinking cocktails and dancing with the locals.
